Shoshone Lake
Shoshone Lake, the largest backcountry lake in the United States, is not accessible by car. You can either hike to the
lake, or paddle from Lewis Lake. Shoshone Lake also provides access to the Shoshone Geyser Basin. Reaching the basin
requires either an eight mile hike from Lone Star Geyser or a canoe trip across both Lewis and Shoshone Lakes.
Location: Located in the Yellowstone National Park just 5 miles west of the Continental Divide.

Wyoming Dinosaur Center
The Wyoming Dinosaur Center has 12,000 square feet of exhibition area. Fossils and life forms from earliest geologic time
periods are displayed in a chronological perspective. There are over 200 displays throughout the museum. The central hall
houses dozens of full-size mounted skeletons, including over 20 dinosaurs.

Flaming Gorge National Recreational Area
Visitors enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, waterbiking, windsurfing, and camping within Flaming Gorge National Recreational
Area run by the U.S. Forest Service Ashley National Forest Service. Camp sites can be found close to the dam and along
Highway 191 for a fee, as well as free throughout the area. The many available fish species in the resevoir and
surrounding lakes are Cutthroat Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout, Kokanee Salmon, and Smallmouth Bass. The
Green River is a popular spot for fishing, namely below the dam. The river's ice cold water and beautiful structure make
it a world class, world renowned fly fishing stream.
Location: From I 80 take the Green River Wyoming exit (near the information center). Follow Wyoming State Route 530 if
you wish to see the western shoreline and visit access points.

Old West Wax Museum
Step back into the Old West, where men and women were as raw and untamed as the country around them. Hero and heroine,
outlaw and lawman, cowboy and schoolmarm, indian and mountain man-they all became part of the legends of the West. The Old
West Wax Museum is a unique blend of history, folklore and folk crafts. Its appeal is timeless and ageless. More than 50
life-size wax figures in 20 Western frontier historical dioramas. Original historical maps from 1760 to present illustrate
Western development. National newspaper etching and stories from 1860 to 1910 show how journalists and newspapers
influenced ideas and myths of the West. Artifacts and information-see the voyageur cruiser that traveled 2,700 miles along
the 1825 route of General William Ashley from Wyoming to St. Louis-see the elegant European frontier saloon backbar that
came over the mountains by wagon train-and more! Dancing Bear Folk Center is housed on the lower floor of the complex and
includes a spectacular artist teddy bear museum and much more.
