Tennessee Aquarium

Andrew Johnson National Historic Site

Begin your visit to the Andrew Johnson National Historic Site at the Visitor Center. The Visitor Center houses a museum collection, Andrew Johnson's Tailor Shop, and a 13 1/2 minute orientation film. The attendent at the desk can provide directions to the other areas of the park and help you personalize your visit based on your interest and allotted time at the site. The Early Home: A visit to Andrew Johnson's Early Home is self-guided. This home contains a family photo album, exhibits explaining Andrew Johnson's humble origins and rise in the political world, and a timeline connecting events in Johnson's life to those of current events of his time. Homestead: Andrew Johnson owned this home twenty-four years, both before and after his presidency. His descendants continued to live here until 1956. Today the house is furnished extensively with original furnishings and belongings.

The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park!

The Chattanooga Zoo sits on 6 acres in the middle of Warner Park, just 2-miles from downtown Chattanooga. It features animals and information from all over the world, including Latin America, North America, Africa, and Asia. The Warner Park Ranch Exhibit invites visitors to directly interact with the 'ranch' animals. The Gombe Forest features chimpanzees, the Himalayan Passage features red pandas, the highly endangered "Bali-Mynahs", and Asian Elongated tortoises, and the Zoo's newest exhibit, the Cougar Express, features Mountain Lions. Those are just a few of the many exhibits you will see during your journey through our wonderful zoo.

Location: From I-75 North or Southbound – take the I-24 west split into downtown Chattanooga. Take the 4th avenue exit (#181). Turn right at the end of the exit ramp. At the first intersection, turn left on 23rd Street. Go .7 mile and turn right onto Holtzclaw Avenue. Go 1.3 miles and turn left on McCallie Avenue. Take the first right into Warner Park and follow the signs to the Zoo.

From I-24 East (From Nashville) – follow the signs to Knoxville/Atlanta, take the 4th Avenue Exit (#181) and turn left at the end of the ramp. Go to the first intersection, and turn left on 23rd Street and then follow preceding directions.
