Reptile Gardens is located pretty close to Mt. Rushmore, in fact it's on the main road to Mt. Rushmore, so if you are ever in this area visiting the famous national site, then by all means visit Reptile Gardens.
Reptile Gardens is not just some roadside attraction or small site, the site is huge, in fact they house more different species of reptiles then any zoo or other place in the world.
Besides seeing and learning about more reptiles then probably any other place on the planet, the reptiles are just part of the sights and sounds you will experience at Reptile Gardens, here is just a few of the amazing attractions; Prairie Dog Town - In this area you will actually be amongst the prairie dogs, looking at them through an enclosed clear dome, this is unlike any other prairie dog exhibit in the world, it pleases young and old visitors alike.
Giant Tortoise Yard - Here you will see giant Galapagos Tortoises close up, in fact you can even touch and pet these gentle creatures. Snake Show - Here you can experience more snakes close up then you can find anyplace else. Not only will you see Pythons, Rattlesnakes, and Cobra's plus many other snakes, you can even touch and handle some of the non poisonous ones.
