Oregon Caves National Monument


Oregon Caves National Monument offers family focused opportunities to explore a marble cave, visit a National Historic Landmark (the Oregon Caves Chateau), hike trails through ancient forests, and earn a Junior Ranger Badge. The Monument is open year round for outdoor activities including hiking and snowshoeing.

Location: Follow Hwy 199 from Grants Pass, Oregon (Interstate 5) or Crescent City, California (Hwy 101) to Cave Junction. Turn south on Hwy 46 (a gas station is on the corner) and follow this road for 20 miles to the Monument. Cave Junction, OR

Portland Children’s Museum

Portland Children’s Museum has hands-on exhibits for kids aged 6 months to 13 years. Make a splash in WaterWorks. Tap dance across the Marimba Bridge. Check out your choppers with Wally Gator in the Kids' Clinic. Portland Children’s Museum is a also a great place to hold your next birthday party or company outing.

Crater Lake

Crater Lake has inspired people for hundreds of years. Museum of Natural and Cultural History

The museum holds one of Oregon's most significant collections of Native American cultural and archaeological artifacts, spanning 15,000 years. Hand-crafted items, including textiles, musical instruments, weapons, and other objects representing traditional technologies and everyday life also come from southeast Asia, the Philippines, Africa, Oceania (in particular, New Guinea) and Africa (including Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Congo). Altogether, these collections comprise more than half a million objects.
