Mary Jane Thurston State Park
Mary Jane Thurston State Park offers a variety of day-use and overnight activities in the fall. The Maumee is not only
scenic, but also provides some of the best stream fishing in Ohio. Boaters have access to the river while history buffs
may explore the remnants of the old canal. You can enjoy Camping, Boating, Fishing and Hunting, Picnicking and the
numerous trails are wonderful for fall foliage viewing, and backpacking, horseback riding or mountain biking. Horseshoe
pits also provide recreation for campers.

Living Bible Museum
This is a great life size wax museum, where you can walk thru life-sized re-creations of favorite Old and New Testament
stories, with over 70 scenes & 300+ figures, original music and narration. There's also a collection of rare Bibles, and
the John Burns collection of religious woodcarvings. The museum is Non-Denominational, and is handicap accessible.

William Howard Taft National Historic Site
The William Howard Taft National Historic Site commemorates the only man to serve as President and Chief Justice of the
United States. The house that Taft was born in has been restored to its original appearance. A visit to the site includes
a tour of the restored birthplace and four period rooms that reflect the family life during Taft's boyhood. The home also
includes second floor exhibits highlighting Taft's life and career. The Taft Education Center, located adjacent to the
Birthplace, houses an orientation video, exhibits on later generations of the Taft family, and classrooms for visiting
schools. The signature exhibit of the center is an animatronic figure of the President's Son, Charlie Taft. Charlie tells
stories about different family members.

N.K. Whitney Store Museum
How many times have you watched 'Little House On the Prairie' reruns or some other show about life back in the 1800's and
wished you could visit one of them old stores. The N.K. Whitney Store Museum is an authentic restored 1830s country store
and post office. It features more than a thousand items and replicas of merchandise that lured shoppers more than 150
years ago.

The National Heisey Glass Museum
The National Heisey Glass Museum displays more than 4,500 of glassware and plant memorabilia from the A.H. Heisey & Co.
The plant produced high quality, hand-wrought glass in Newark, Ohio from 1896 to 1957. Highly skilled craftsmen produced,
cut, and etched glass in many styles and colors. The beauty and superior quality of this glass makes it a highly
collectable item. The Museum is housed in the historic Samuel D. King residence, an 1831 Greek Revival home that was moved
to the site in 1973, and an additional wing added in 1993. The Museum Gift Shop offers original Heisey pieces as well as
re-issue pieces made from the original Heisey molds.
