Would you like to take a trip back into the 1940s? If so, the Fremont Dinner Train is for you to enjoy when you visit Nebraska. You will be taken back in time with scenery
and music from the 1940s while traveling the tracks around Fremont. The trip is 18 miles and you will find the runs that are most romantic are on Friday and Saturday
nights, which are more formal. Those interesting in a casual outing, perhaps for the entire family, will find the Sunday afternoon runs the most accommodating.
The dinner train has been in service since 1988 and it began with only one car, the Elkhorn River. The second car, Maple Creek, was being renovated during this time and
it was ready to join the fleet by the end of the year. Over the eyras the cars were renovated and new technological systems installed to keep them up to date and as
luxurious as possible. A third dining car named the Rose Creek joined the fleet in 1997 and then Fox River was added as a storage car and then replaced in 2000 by Clear
Creek. The Fontanelle Springs was added in 1999 as a lounge and diner car.
There are many interesting formats the dinner trains take so look out for the ones that interest you the most. You may enjoy a murder mystery, USO show, melodrama,
theme dinner, wine tasting dinner, period movies, holiday runs, and occasionally dancing.
