Chimney Rock National Historic Site
Chimney Rock has become one of the most famous landmarks in the American West. This unique formation--the most noted on
the Oregon Trail--has come to symbolize the greatest voluntary migration in the history of mankind. The Ethel and
Christopher J. Abbott Visitor Center houses museum exhibits, a hands-on opportunity to "pack your wagon," and a video
presentation that tells the story of the great migration West.

Homestead National Monument of America
Historical exhibits, films, picnicking, school programs, special events, and observing tallgrasses, wildflowers, and
wildlife on the restored prairie. At the visitor center you can talk with a ranger about the meaning of this national park
or browse the book store. Enjoy the Homesteading story video in the auditorium. Learn about the Homestead Act of 1862
and the struggles of the pioneers while visiting the museum. Don't miss the Palmer-Epard Cabin and imagine living there
with ten children.
Location: The park is 4 miles west of Beatrice on State Highway 4. Enter Highway 4 from Highway 136 at the west edge of

Pioneer Village
The largest private collection of Americana anywhere. The Pioneer Village complex comprises 28 buildings on 20 acres
housing over 50,000 irreplaceable items of historical value, restored to operating order, arranged in groups and also in
the chronological order of their development. There are 12 historic buildings around the circular "green". There's a
Frontier Fort, a real honest-to-goodness Pony Express Station, an Iron Horse, and a home made of sod. There's a general
store and a toy store, chock full of all the goods from yesteryear. An original art collection including 25 Currier and
Ives prints, 23 Jackson paintings, and the largest single collection of Rogers statues. You can ride a priceless steam
carousel, see 17 historic flying machines and marvel at 100 antique tractors. See a 1902 Cadillac and a 1903 Ford, both
designed by Henry Ford, plus 350 other antique cars, all displayed in their order of development. For a relaxing trip into
yesterday, come to Pioneer Village.

Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer
The mission of Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer is to preserve and portray the inspiring era of the pioneer town
builders who created the first communities in Nebraska. Praised as "one of the top '10' places to relive America's past"
by Good Housekeeping magazine, Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer offers a hands-on living history experience that tells
the story of early town building in Nebraska. Stuhr Museum is a world-class, nationally recognized educational and
cultural institution, and an outdoor living history museum.

National Museum of Roller Skating
he museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, research, and interpret artifacts, documents, and published materials
relating to roller skating’s heritage. USA Roller Sports, the governing body for amateur roller skating competition,
provides space for the museum in their national headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska. The museum contains an exhibition area,
archives, collections storage area, and an office for staff. The museum contains the largest collection of historical
roller skates, dating to 1819, in the world. It also contains patents, medals, trophies, photographs, artworks, films and
videotapes, costumes, library and archival materials, and roller skating memorabilia.
Location: The museum is located at 4730 South Street, on the northwest corner of 48th and South Streets, in Lincoln,
Nebraska. The parking lot entrance is behind the building on 48th Street, the museum entrance is on South Street.
