The museum has been open since 1978 and is part of the Natural Science Collections Alliance as well as holds accreditation by the American Association of Museums.
The museum has an amazing collection of non-vascular as well as vascular plants and public programs and educational exhibits for the public.
There are different shows that take place every day. Mondays are the reptile shows at 6:30 and 7:30 pm, Tuesdays are adaptations at 7:30 pm, Wednesdays are Utah
Plants and Animals at 7:30 pm, Thursdays are Ecosystems at 7:30 pm, Fridays are invertebrates at 7:30 pm and Saturdays are reptiles at 1 pm.
Since admission is free there is no reason for anyone visiting the area, or living in the area of Brigham Young University, not to pay the museum a visit. The museum is
located at 645 East 1430 North at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. It is open from 10 am until 9 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am until 5 pm on Saturdays.
The museum is closed on Sundays.
