Minnesota - Spam Museum

Everyone loves Spam and now everyone can learn a little bit more about this great product through the Spam Museum in Austin, Minnesota. The SPAM museum is 16,500 square feet of everything Spam related. The museum has been open since 2001 and there are many activities and exhibits to enjoy.

There are interactive games, video presentations, and fun exhibits for the entire family to take part in and enjoy. There are many things about SPAM luncheon meat you probably don’t already know and will enjoy learning.

If you love SPAM and plan on being in Minnesota then you must make the pilgrimage to this outstanding museum. Canned meat may not be for everyone, but those who love it will gain an even greater appreciation for it after visiting The SPAM Museum.

The museum is open from Monday through Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and Sundays from noon until 4 pm May 1 through Labor Day. From Labor Day until April 30 the museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday 10 am until 5 pm and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. There is no admission fee and the museum is closed on the following holidays: Christmas Eve Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, and Christmas Day.

You may not think of visiting a canned meat museum at first, however once you realize how much the SPAM museum has to offer, even things that date back before SPAM, you will realize this truly is an educational and fun place to visit. Kids frequently get bored at museums, but they won’t at this one. It is a great and educational place for the entire family so plan your trip today!
