history of shipping, logging, and agriculture of the area by visiting a former Life-Saving Service/Coast Guard Stations,
and Port Oneida Historic District.
Location: Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is located in Northwestern Lower Michigan along the eastern shoreline of
Lake Michigan. The closest city is Traverse City, 25 miles to the east. You can travel to the park by car, plane or bus.

Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum
The Mission of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is to inspire people to discover the wonder of science, math and technology.
Our Vision is to be the leader in imaginative and interactive learning experiences. Ignite your imagination as you explore
nine unique galleries containing more than 250 interactive exhibits. With subjects ranging from physics to health to
nature to mathematics and beyond, learning is made fun for all ages in an informal environment where hands-on experience
is the best teacher. Discover the secret workings of everyday objects in our How Things Work Gallery and the concepts
behind cutting edge technology in MediaWorks. Handle fossils and observe communities of fish in the Discovery Room. Visit
our Preschool Gallery, an interactive playspace designed specifically for infants through four-year-olds. At the Ann Arbor
Hands-On Museum, you can climb a rock wall, encase yourself in a giant bubble, sit in the driver's seat of a real
ambulance, wave your arms through a tornado, and discover the scientist within you!

Detroit Science Center
The mission of The New Detroit Science Center is to inspire Detroit area children and their families to discover and
appreciate science, technology and engineering in a dynamic, fun learning environment. Founded by Detroit businessman and
philanthropist Dexter Ferry nearly 30 years ago, the Detroit Science Center was among the first centers for scientific
exploration and learning in the country to include an IMAX Dome Theatre. An exhibit floor and program plan encouraged
hands-on interaction, exploration and study of science and technology.

Air Zoo

Ziibiwing Center
The Ziibiwing Center is a distinctive treasure created to provide an enriched, diversified and culturally relevant
educational experience. This promotes the society's belief that the culture, diversity and spirit of the Saginaw Chippewa
Indian Tribe of Michigan and other Great Lakes Anishinabek must be recognized, perpetuated, communicated and supported. We
have an extensive collection of artifacts and artwork, primarily from Great Lakes Anishinabek, numbering over 2,000
pieces. Our beautiful and descriptive language, called Anishinabemowin, can be seen and heard throughout the exciting Diba
Jimooyung exhibit. Diba Jimooyung tells the story of the original people of the Great Lakes.
