Salisbury Zoo

The Salisbury Zoo opened in 1954 and is officially known as the Salisbury Zoological Park. It has such animals as alligators, flamingos, otters, jaguars, llamas, turtles, macaws, raptors, and mucb more. Children can also play in the park, and the whole family can enjoy a walk around the lake. The whole zoo and area is kept very clean and is family friendly.

Merkle Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary also offers habitats for a variety of birds and mammals. On a visit to Merkle, one may see red fox, a groundhog, or a white-tailed deer. In the summer, ospreys nest close to the Visitor Center and the hummingbirds, finches and purple martins are abundant. In the neighboring ponds, visitors are likely to see herons and other water birds. On the trails one can see bluebirds and many different songbirds.

Jolly Roger Amusement Park
