Newport Aquarium

The Newport Aquarium has 70 exhibits and 14 galleries, including five seamless acrylic tunnels totaling over 200 feet in length, featuring an amazing variety of aquatic life from around the world. Experiencing the wonders of an underwater world is more than just viewing these amazing creatures as they gracefully glide past you. You can touch live creatures in a tide pool and see an exciting, educational film on the latest aquatic wonders in Duke Energy Theater. Dive shows take place daily Thursday through Sunday where you can talk to divers underwater in the shark tank. You'll even have a chance to see many of the animals being fed - including the sharks - during posted feeding times.

Six Flags

Six Flags has everything when it comes to family fun, plus the two new spectacles 'Tornado' and 'Greezed Lightnin'. The area's best thrill rides and roller coasters plus delicious food, games and all the fun and excitement you can handle! Tornado launches riders from a 75-foot platform, plunging down a 132-foot tunnel, before splashing back and forth through a giant funnel of 5,000 gallons of gushing water. Once riders reach the vortex of the Tornado, they will be pushed through the eye of the storm and into a cool catch pool below! Guests will navigate the colossal blue and yellow-checkered structure on a unique cloverleaf-shaped tube that seats up to four riders.
Greezed Lightnin' will leave you breathless as you blast out of the coaster station like a bolt of lightning, going from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds. You won't have time to scream before you zoom through the 76-foot-tall loop, and are sent soaring up the 142-foot incline at a 70-degree angle.
