Blank Park Zoo
The Blank Park Zoo is home to over 800 species, including giraffes, sea lions and Himalayan snow leopards. The zoo boasts
over 20 acres of park grounds, and features natural habitat sections like an Australian Walkabout and an African Boardwalk.
Children can enjoy such activities as such as crawling through simulated prairie dog tunnels and feeding, petting and riding some
of the animals.
Location: The Zoo is in a convenient south Des Moines location, about 1 mile North of the Hwy 65 bypass and about 2 miles east of
the Des Moines International Airport.

Arnolds Park
Arnolds Park Amusement Park has an eclectic collection of rides and attractions that when taken as a whole represent
family fun for kids of all ages. From the legendary wooden roller coaster, appropriately named the "Legend," to the Parks
Marina-sponsored giant Ferris wheel, to Freddie the Fish, sponsored by Pure Fishing, there is something to excite persons
of every generation. The Park has 17 rides plus its go-kart track and miniature golf course. There also are games of skill
and luck, Park souvenirs, fun food, Tipsy House, Treasure Island for youngsters and people watching galore.

Rathbun Lake
Rathbun Lake's 8 parks, 2 marinas, 11,000 acres of water and 21,000 acres provide space for outdoor recreation activities.
