Steinhart Aquarium
The Steinhart, which opened in September 1923, is the oldest, still-operating grand municipal aquarium in America. The
aquarium's collection includes species found at no other institution in the world, as well as species that are extinct in
the wild. Visitors come face to face with nearly 600 species of fishes, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians and more.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is tucked into the southeastern corner of California.
Running about 25 miles east-to-west and 50 miles north-to-south, it is California's largest state park encompassing more
than 600,000 acres. It is framed by, and includes many rugged mountain ranges: the Bucksnorts and the Santa Rosas on the
north, the Jacumba Mountains on the South and the Vallecito and Pinyon Mountains on the west. To the east, the Borrego
Mountains taper into the Carrizo Badlands before falling away into the Salton Trough. There are more than 500 miles of
roads in the park . There are routes up rocky hills, through deep sand, along scenic streams and down steep hills. You and
your family can enjoy Auto touring, biking, hiking, climbing, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Muir Woods National Monument
"This is the best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world," declared
conservationist John Muir when describing the majestic coast redwoods of Muir Woods. Muir Woods canyon is a place to walk
and enjoy the forest. The primary trails along the canyon floor are level and paved. Bridges along Redwood Creek create
leisurely 1/2 hour, 1 hour, or 1 1/2 hour loops. All of these walks take you on a journey beneath 1000 year old old-growth
coast redwood trees. Muir Woods is visited by over 1 million people each year.

Lawrence Hall of Science
Kids can learn while playing in this all-hands-on exhibit where toys are used to demonstrate scientific principles and more.

Kazoos, Change Your Perspective, Color Coordination, Crawling Tarantula, DNA Delight, Earthquake Finder, Find the Secret

San Diego Model Railroad Museum
The mission of the San Diego Model Railroad Museum is to preserve the heritage of railroading through a series of
miniature representations of California railroads; research and preserve the history of model railroading; and educate
the public in the many different aspects of railroading. At 27,000 sq. ft., the museum is the largest indoor model
railroad display in the world. The individual HO and N scale layouts are among largest of their type.
