If you are heading to Wilmington, Delaware, any time soon then you should definitely check out the Brandywine Zoo. This zoo is made up of 13 acres that are landscaped
and beautiful along the Brandywine River. There are many different animals to view from snakes to tigers and more than 150 animals! The Brandywine Zoo is open all year
so no matter when you have time off you will be able to plan a visit! The Division of Parks and Recreation in Delaware manage the Brandywine Zoo and the Delaware
Zoological Society supports the zoo. The zoo is committed to excellence and highly specialized care for the animals. Because of this the zoo is a member of the
American Zoo and Aquarium Association.
When you visit the zoo you will be pleased to know that it is both stroller and wheelchair accessible. This means you can take the entire family from babies to
grandparents! There are several places for visitors to the zoo to park. This includes free parking on Van Buren Street, which is located behind the Educated Building.
Handicapped visitors should park here, as it is the closest to the entrance to the zoo. There is another large parking lot off North Park Drive.
